Delegates from Bridgewater State University, Massachusetts, US visited BBC in January. Mr Wing Kai To (Senior International Officer), Prof Madhu Rao and Dr Uma Sharma were the delegates. The topic of discussion was about Biotechnology start-ups in Karnataka specially Bangalore. Delegates were impressed by the facilities created by the state for entrepreneurs/start-ups.
Universities of Queensland, Australia
Delegates from various universities of Queensland, Australia visited BBC in February. Bronwyn Bartsch from Central Queensland University, Professor Ren Yi from University of Southern Queensland, Professor Sarah Todd from Griffith University, Professor Sheel Nuna from Queensland University of Technology, Mr Vignesh Vijayaraghavan from James Cook University were happy to be hosted by BBC and were impressed by world class facilities of BBC. Delegates also expressed their interest towards collaboration of Victorian universities with BBC for exchange of technologies, start-ups and innovations.
A Two days Hands On Workshop on Basic of Mol Bio Technique
Hands on workshop on Basics of Molecular Biology techniques was organized by BBC's technical team in collaboration with Bio-Rad team. This workshop was basically for the under graduate and postgraduate students to give them the hands on experience on handling the molecular biology related equipments and experiments.

The key topics of the discussion were about venture capital/private equity, latest investment trends, IPR, the science and art evaluation, valuation methodologies, term sheet execution and documentation, exit mechanisms and IPO’s.
