By applying for an internship at BBC, you agree to comply with the following terms and conditions.

1. Eligibility and Application

1.1 Eligibility: Internship positions are open to undergraduate (UG), postgraduate (PG), and doctoral (PhD) students currently enrolled in recognized educational institutions, as well as recent graduates within one year of completion of their degree.

1.2 Application Process: All applications must be submitted through the official BBC website. Incomplete or fraudulent applications will be rejected without consideration.

1.3 Selection: Selection of interns is at the sole discretion of BBC. Meeting the eligibility criteria does not guarantee selection. BBC reserves the right to reject any application without providing reasons.

2. Internship Fees and Payment

2.1 Paid Internship: BBC may charge fees for certain internship programs. The fee structure, if applicable, will be communicated to selected candidates upfront before the commencement of the internship.

2.2 Fee Payment: If fees are applicable, they must be paid within the stipulated timeline. Failure to pay fees may result in cancellation of the internship offer.

2.3 Refund Policy: Fees once paid are non-refundable except in cases where BBC cancels the internship program. Partial refunds may be considered on a case-by-case basis at BBC's discretion.

2.4 Stipend: Some internship positions may offer a stipend. The stipend amount, if any, will be clearly mentioned in the offer letter. Stipend payment is subject to satisfactory performance and completion of assigned tasks.

3. Duration and Commitment

3.1 Duration: The internship duration will be specified in the offer letter and may range from 4 weeks to 6 months, depending on the program.

3.2 Attendance: Interns are expected to maintain regular attendance and adhere to BBC's working hours and schedules. Unauthorized absences may lead to termination of the internship.

3.3 Extension: Extension of internship beyond the agreed duration is subject to mutual consent and availability of positions.

4. Responsibilities and Conduct

4.1 Professional Conduct: Interns must maintain professional conduct at all times, respect BBC's code of conduct, and comply with all applicable laws and regulations.

4.2 Confidentiality: Interns may have access to confidential information during their internship. All such information must be kept strictly confidential and must not be disclosed to any third party without prior written consent from BBC.

4.3 Intellectual Property: Any work, research, inventions, or intellectual property created by the intern during the internship period shall be the exclusive property of BBC unless otherwise agreed in writing.

4.4 Safety and Compliance: Interns must adhere to all safety protocols, laboratory guidelines, and institutional policies. Any violation may result in immediate termination.

5. Facilities and Resources

5.1 Access: Interns will be provided access to BBC's facilities, laboratories, and resources as required for their internship work, subject to availability and approval.

5.2 Proper Use: All facilities and equipment must be used responsibly and only for authorized purposes. Any damage caused due to negligence or misuse will be the responsibility of the intern.

5.3 Return of Property: All BBC property, including ID cards, access cards, equipment, and materials, must be returned upon completion or termination of the internship.

6. Certification and Evaluation

6.1 Certificate: Upon successful completion of the internship, BBC will provide a certificate of completion. The certificate will be issued only if the intern has satisfactorily completed all assigned tasks and met the performance criteria.

6.2 Evaluation: Interns will be evaluated based on their performance, attendance, conduct, and contribution. The evaluation may be shared with the intern's educational institution if requested.

7. Termination

7.1 By BBC: BBC reserves the right to terminate the internship at any time without prior notice in case of misconduct, poor performance, violation of terms, or any other valid reason.

7.2 By Intern: Interns may terminate the internship by providing at least two weeks' written notice to BBC. Early termination without valid reasons may affect future opportunities at BBC.

8. Limitation of Liability

BBC shall not be liable for any injury, loss, or damage to person or property during the internship period, except in cases of gross negligence or willful misconduct by BBC. Interns are advised to have their own health and accident insurance coverage.
