Medicos Innovation Bootcamp 2026 – Series 4 | From Ideas to Impact 🚀

The Medicos Innovation Bootcamp 2026 – Series 4 at Bangalore Bioinnovation Centre (BBC) brought together students, innovators, scientists, healthcare professionals, entrepreneurs, and industry experts for a day of learning, innovation, and meaningful engagement.

The programme featured expert sessions covering key aspects of the healthcare innovation journey:

🔹 Dr. P. Josthna shared insights on the TOCIC–DSIR PRISM Scheme and opportunities for grassroots and student innovators.

🔹 Dr. Vinay Rengan & Mr. Balu Seetharaman, Curium Life Sciences, shared their entrepreneurial journey and introduced their work in Surgical AI for laparoscopic and robotic surgery.

🔹 Dr. Megha Goyal highlighted emerging opportunities in pharmaceutical innovation through Targeted Protein Degradation.

🔹 Dr. Rajani Kanth Vangala provided practical guidance on moving from Prototype to Validation.

Student Innovations in Action 🔬

A key highlight was the Prototype Showcase, where 7 student innovators presented promising solutions addressing healthcare, diagnostics, wellness, and life-sciences challenges.

The showcased innovations included AI-enabled ECG Wave Analysis, Optical Scanning Technology, Medicinal Mushrooms, BeetBloom, and chemical laboratory-based innovations.

The innovators received valuable expert feedback on clinical relevance, technical feasibility, validation, IP, product development, and commercialization.

The bootcamp reinforced BBC’s commitment to creating opportunities for student and emerging innovators to connect with experts, mentors, industry, infrastructure, and the startup ecosystem—helping transform promising ideas into real-world impact.
