Bangalore Bioinnovation Centre (BBC) participated in a high-level roundtable in Malaysia, convened by the Malaysian Rubber Board (MRB) and the Malaysian Rubber Council (MRC), to discuss environmental, social and governance (ESG) compliance, traceability, and sustainable growth in the plantation sector.
The roundtable brought together YB Datuk Seri Dr. Noraini Ahmad, Minister of Plantation and Commodities, Malaysia, government representatives, industry leaders, and innovation ecosystem partners, including Dr. Mohamed Adil A.A., Managing Director, BBC.
Discussions highlighted opportunities to connect the Karnataka Bio Economy Mission with global markets, strengthen sustainable agricultural practices, and support BBC-incubated deep-tech and sustainability startups in accessing international markets.
The engagement reinforced the importance of collaboration between governments, industries, researchers, and startups in advancing responsible innovation and building a sustainable global bio-economy.
